Blocked duct unde tongue
Have you heard of a mucous duct under the tongue getting blocked? My daughter, Jessie, has one, it fills with mucous and doesn’t go down. The pediatrician sent us to the dentist the dentist cut a slit in it, it drained, then grew back. Next, he cut out the top layer of the
duct, it has now grown back. It will fill, then burst, then fill again. I do not have much faith in the dentist, so, I was wondering if you have heard of this and if you know any treatment that does not involve cutting her anymore. Jessica will be eternally grateful if you save her from anymore knives!!! Thanks, Tina
Some things that pop into my head are one: stagnation of fluids and two: lack of qi.
1.Stagnation of fluids can be from excess heat in the body (too many hot foods, anger held in, etc), dehydration and increased histamine in the body, lack of Na in the cells and lack of minerals.
2.Lack of qi: We produce qi from the food we eat and from the air we breath. Work on the foundational 6 HLC principles (Read How to Eat, Move and Be Healthy by Paul Chek)
3.I would also have her do a salt water rinse to her mouth, esp squirting the ducts 2-4 times per day.

Do you have a food intolerance?

Do You Have A Food Intolerance?
“Hippocrates, the father of medicine, was the first to record an allergic reaction to food. He observed that while cheese was a wholesome food for most people, some were made severely ill by eating it, even in very small amounts.”
What is a food intolerance?
When we eat conventional, processed, enriched and GMO (gentically modified) foods, our body has a hard time recognizing them as true nutrients. We have special molecules called antibodies that help our bodies to fight off infections. Antibodies bind to the specific antigens (bacterium, virus, chemical, food molecule) and act as a signal to other cells and molecules in order to kill off or block the antigen. When these signals are sent out, our immune system is activated to go to war.
The main issue here is the more you eat the foods you are intolerant to or the more you eat what we call a “non-food,” the more you create dysfunction (lack of HCL and digestive enzymes, too much bad bacteria, leaky gut syndrome, fungal infections, to name a few) in the gut. This leads to food particles “leaking” through the gut wall and into the blood. The body sees these food particles as antigens and attaches antibodies to them. So, in the future when you eat the same foods you have been eating over and over, you actually create the food intolerance and the many systemic symptoms that go with it.
What are the symptoms of a food intolerance?
Most of these symptoms will come hours after eating the food you are intolerant to, if not days. Most of these start off as acute. However, over time the more antibodies you build up, the more chronic your symptoms and/or condition(s) become. This is one reason we are seeing such high incidences of what western medicine is calling “auto-immune disorders.”
1. Achy joints
2. Musculoskeletal pain
3. Brain fog and inability to concentrate
4. ADD, ADHD or any other behavioral disorder
5. Post nasal drip, increase mucous in nasal passage or any other passage in the body for that matter
6. Fatigue, depression, lack of motivation
7. Skin problems: acne, rosacia, eczema, psoriasis
8. Diarrhea, constipation, food in stools, bloating, gas and GERD
9. Low back pain soon after eating
10. Chronic headaches, migraines
11. Vitamin and enzyme deficiencies
There are MANY more, but the list above is to give you an idea of some symptoms that you can correlate to a food intolerance.
How to combat a food intolerance?
1. Begin with a 90 day food elimination diet. This entails eliminating all gluten, soy, dairy, eggs, salt, flour, sugar and any caffeine, refined/processed foods, artificial sweeteners and conventional foods. The key here is switching to organic. After 90 days slowly, one food at a time, add things back in. Tune into your body and listen to what it is telling you. If you feel sick, sweat, get a raised heart beat, get GI discomfort, see food in your stools, get fatigued, are hyper or irritable, this your body telling you that the food you are eating does not agree with you. You may be intolerant to it.
2. Order the 90 Antigen Food Intolerance test from Bio-Health Diagnostics (www.biohealthinfo.com). this is a blood lab, so you will need to find a clinic, MD or traveling nurse/phlebotomist that will take your blood for the lab. You can order the lab from the company above and do it within the comfort of your own home. It will provide you with a list of 90 foods and which ones you are intolerant to. Basically, which ones you cannot or should not eat.

4. Cytomegalovirus and Breast Cancer
Cytomegalovirus & Breast Cancer – New Study Shows Link
(press release) A study just published in the prestigious British Journal of Cancer by researchers at the University of Otago’s Christchurch School of Medicine and Health Sciences and Dunedin School of Medicine, and the University of Melbourne, has found evidence of a link between a common virus and breast cancer in women under the age of 40 years.
The research suggests that those women who are exposed in adulthood to the virus, cytomegalovirus, may have a greater risk of developing breast cancer, the most common cancer affecting women in New Zealand. 377 women were included in the study, and blood samples were taken to measure antibody levels to cytomegalovirus, and to another virus; Epstein-Barr virus.
Countries where most people are exposed to cytomegalovirus and other viruses in childhood, have lower rates of breast cancer, says principal researcher Dr Ann Richardson.
Our study found that women with breast cancer had higher cytomegalovirus antibody levels than women without breast cancer. The higher antibody levels could be the result of more recent infection with cytomegalovirus. This may mean that late infection with cytomegalovirus,rather than in childhood, is a risk factor for breast cancer
Dr Richardson says that it is not unusual to find links between viruses and increased cancer risk. Several cancers such as cervical, liver, and some forms of leukaemia are known to be caused by viruses. Breast cancer in mice can also be caused by a virus. Cytomegalovirus or CMV is a common virus that is shed in breast milk as well as saliva, urine, cervical secretions and semen.
The study also investigated links between another virus, Epstein-Barr, and breast cancer but the results are negative.
At present it is still scientifically unclear exactly how CMV might cause or influence the development of breast cancer. Dr Richardson says that further research is needed. The most exciting possibility is, if late infection with CMV does increase the risk of breast cancer, it could be possible to decrease the risk by exposing people to the virus by immunisation in childhood.
Around 2000 women develop breast cancer every year in New Zealand, but most are over the age of 40. Further research is needed to investigate this possible link between cytomegalovirus and breast cancer. This study was supported by the Cancer Society of New Zealand, which funded the antibody testing of the blood samples.

KING CORN, The movie
A great movie produced by two college buddies on raising 1 acre of corn in Iowa. This movie will show you and prove to you many things about our government, our food supply, as well as what most things you are eating are made out of. Here are a couple of stats from the movie:
1. 99% of the corn grown in the US is GMO and nonedable. It has to be HIGHLY processed to be put into juices, food supply, soda’s, breades, meats, etc in order for the human body to just digest it.
2. Most farmers make NO money of all their crop, they pretty much break even…BUT they get paid by the government each month (for many different reasons) depending on how much they produce.
3. Most, not if all, small farmers are being pushed out by larger ones willing to take payment from the goverment.
4. The actual corn that is grown has 98% starch in it and 2% protein…that is a change from the actual corn grown 20-30-40 years ago. More starch means more sugar!
5. Almost everything you eat is made out of corn.
6. The GMO corn is made so it can grow closer together and so the farmer can produce more corn per acre. It is not about quality, but quantity.
7. Most, if not all, feed lots use the corn industry to feed their cows. So if you eat meat…you are eating GMO corn. Cows are not meant to eat corn and they get acidosis in the gut from this. This leads to ulcers, etc and death within 6 months. Where it used to take 1-2 years to bring a cow to full weight, feed lots are doing it within 3-6 months and then the cow is killed before it gets TOO sick.
8. 70% of the antibiotics in the US are consumed by cattle on feed lots.
I could keep going and I feel this is pretty mind blowing. If you look at the quality of your food, the quality of the human being today and all the disease, I think if you watch this movie, organic food and holistic living might begin to make more sense to you. Food is just not food and you cannot judge it today by what it looks like. You need to know what has gone into it to produce it!
