New Weight Loss Drug: Alli
While watching MSNBC this morning while eating my organic, coconut oil, and veggie omelet with a side of rice, I had the pleasure of learning about the new weight loss drug called Alli. Once again the Rx industry is trying to capitalize on the ill health of the American society again. MD’s and the Rx industry have brain washed people into believing that obesity is a disease. In my opinion, it is not! That comment will ruffle some feathers, but once again if something angers you enough to shake your internal foundation of your belief system, you have to ask yourself how strong it really is?
We are what we eat, think and breath. It is that plane and simple. Some say it is genetic, some say it is mental emotional, some say it is a chemical imbalance, well I agree with them all. But if you give into any of them and just eat, well, the proof is in the pudding. I have helped and continue to help ill, dysfunctional and obese people every day. I have heard it all and I am not saying that I discount any of it. But I get to the core of the issues at hand, whether it is chemical, mental/emotional or genetic. The weight is just the symptom of all that.
For example: Some say they gain weight easily because of a having hypothyroidism. Most diagnose themselves or by an MD that has run unreliable lab tests on them. This is just so they can slap some label on their patient and then send them off to the slaughter=society! Well, what most people do not know is that low thyroid can come from: adrenal gland fatigue, being estrogen dominant, not eating enough protein so the body can detoxify estrogen (inhibits T4 to T3), having blood sugar handling issues, as well as from not eating enough good quality fats.
So, do you treat the symptom=thyroid, or do you get to the heart of the matter and go for the actually issues at hand? That is why so many Americans are obese. People continue to think that you can loose weight to get healthy, but what they do not realize is that you must get healthy to loose weight. That comes down to health, which is taking responsibility for yourself in all aspects of life: physical, mental, emotional, nutritional and spiritual. People think health only has one piece to the puzzle, eating. Well, there are many more pieces to the healing puzzle.
Enough on this topic, because I could type forever. Back to the new weight loss drug Alli. The reason I am posting this is to give you a heads up on what it does and what the side effects are.
What it does: Blocks lipase in the stomach. Lipase helps you digest fats. Well, the down fall of this is that the body is not going to digest and absorb much of any fat, leading to hormonal issues and much more. Cholesterol of fat is THE, and I mean THE precursor to every hormone in your body. From pregnenolone to cortisol to progesterone to estrogen to DHEA to testosterone and much more. It also guarantee’s a 3-5lb weight loss in 3-6 months! Wow, that is so great!
Side Effects: Anal leakage, greasy stools, uncontrollable anal discharge and bowel movements. As well, it states on the insert that it comes with to wear dark clothing and to bring extra clothing (underwear and pants) with you wherever you go.
All I can say to that is, you got to be shitting (no pun intended) me! I think I would rather work on my inner being, about how to eat, what to eat, how to live, sleep, drink, to adapt to stress and live a holistic life (no matter how long it took me to learn), than to have uncontrollable greasy anal leakage!
