Crohn’s: Each client as an individual

Thank you so much for taking the time in writing such a informative and helpful emails. I think we all appreciate your input enormously. I just wanted to ask you wether you apply the same protocol to someone with Crohn’s Disease, considering this is also an inflammatory condition of the digestive tract.

Well, unfortunately most of my comments are in the “generalized” sense. I take each client as an individual when I assess and work with them. I could have two clients, that same age, same gender, same symptoms, same diseases, etc, but I will treat each as an individual and their programs most likely will be structured differently. My recs for UC are some of the things that I have done and do with clients with UC. I do lots more, but I thought what I put out would give a direction and a head start.

For someone with Crohn’s, it would be somewhat different and more specialized. Yes it is an IBS disorder and some of the goals of healing the gut, etc might be the same. But when I have someone with a severe syndrome such as this and they come to me, my NLC and TCM assessments are key. As well, I have use certain tests with no ifs ands or buts with people who have Crohn’s. I do the 401H from BioHealth, the GI 2 from Diagnos-techs, the Comp Organix Profile from Metametrix (to see their deficiencies from having Crohn’s), the 90 Food Antigen Test from BioHealth, the adrenal test (201) from BioHealth and a hormone profile if they are female. It might seem like a lot, but I put them at the right place within their healing process. Unfortunately with Crohn’s (as with other disorders), you end up with many deficiency’s, adrenal stress, gut issues, and hormone imbalances that compound the entire syndrome. So, once again this is general and I take each client as an individual. When people come to see me, my goal is to help them. Just doing nutrition for someone with this issue, is one small piece to the healing puzzle. I am sure some have gotten better with just nutrition and I am not saying that by itself it does not work. It all depends on the individual that is sitting in front of me.
